Mid-level mechanical engineer to work on implantable medical devices
Responsibilities
• Work within a cross-functional project team through all phases of the product development process, planning and executing projects through the product launch.
• The candidate will also be involved in significant test method development and testing of the proposed design to aid in the development process.
• Work with manufacturing engineering and suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability and produce prototypes.
Requirements
• A degree in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering would be preferred plus 4 years of experience.
• Experience with medical device required
• Experience utilizing computer aided design (CAD) to develop a product is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of various types of mechanisms, materials, proper tolerancing, drafting standards, design for moldability and GD&T are required.
